Where is the glory of Zion where her joy
Wormwood and gall are her portion
Her soul is bowed down to the dust
And faint, faint are her children with thirst

Her prayers are dispersed in the wind
And her sins heavy upon her they lie
But these things I will call to my mind

Let us arise in the watches of the night
Pour out our heart to our Maker
As water is poured on the dust
Lift our hands lift our hands unto the Lord
Surely the Lord is our portion and our hope
Surely the people that seeks him
Shall see his salvation at last
Though we grieve we shall know joy in the end
And these things let us call to our minds
And therefore let us hope
