In the beginning God made the heavens and earth
And darkness hung over the depths
Then God said let there be light
And there was and it was good
So let light shine out of darkness
For Christ is the light of the world
Yes the light shines in the darkness
And the darkness has not overcome
On the first day Jesus arose from the dead
And death was led captive away
Morning broke into the tomb shadows fled
Night was no more
So let light shine out of darkness

The Lord shall create them anew
