How Lovely Is Your Dwelling Place

Psalm 84

How lovely is your dwelling place,
O Lord of Hosts!
My soul longs, yes it faints,
For the courts of the Lord.
My heart and flesh sing for joy
To the living God, to the living God.
Even the sparrow finds a home,
And the swallow makes her nest
Where she may offer up her young
At your altars, O my King.
Blessed are they who dwell with you
Ever singing your praise,
Ever singing your praise.

Blessed are those whose strength is in you
O mighty God,
In whose hearts are the highways
To the city of the Lord.
They will go from strength to strength
And see the King on His throne,
And see the King on His throne.

One single day in your courts, O Lord,
Is better than a thousand else by far.
I would rather keep your doors
Than dwell with the wicked men.
For the Lord is a sun and shield;
He bestows grace and honor.
No good thing does the Lord withhold
From those who walk in His ways.

How lovely is your dwelling place,
O Lord of Hosts!
