Yet We Shall Rejoice

(Habakkuk 3)

O Lord, we have heard of Your works, revive them
As in ages past, make them known
In your anger remember your mercy
Lord, we need You now

You stood and measured the earth and its peoples
You looked and shook the nations
The mountains scattered before you
The hills bowed down

Though the fig tree should not blossom
Nor fruit be on the vines
The produce of the olive fail
And the fields left barren, die
Yet we shall find our joy in the Lord
The Rock of our salvation
The Lord, He is our strength and song
And in His Name we rise
In Your Name we rise

Your splendor covers the heavens
And the earth is filled with Your praise
You shine more brightly than the sunrise
Your ways stand fast and sure

Though the fig tree should not blossom
Nor fruit be on the vines
The flock be scattered from the fold
And none seen left alive
Yet we shall find our joy in the Lord
The Rock of our salvation
The Lord, He is our strength and song
And in His Name we rise
In Your Name we rise

The mountains watch and tremble
The raging waves come forth
The deep cries out Your Name
With lifted hands on high

Lord, our prayer is for revival
To this barren land bring life
Won’t you make of us a people
Shining forth Your light

Lord, our prayer is for revival
To this barren land bring life
Turn our shame into Your praises
As dawn comes from the night

Though the fig tree should not blossom
Nor fruit be on the vines
He makes our feet leap like the deer
To tread upon the heights
So we shall find our joy in the Lord
The Rock of our salvation
The Lord, He is our strength and song
And in His Name we rise
In Your Name we rise

  1. Dear Lisa, the Lord has truly inspired you to compose this worship song: for a time such as this! Thank you!

Much in the category of the already popular song: By MATT REDMAN – Blessed Be Your Name
